Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that dissolves “double chin” fat (also known as submental fat). It is a deoxycholic acid – which is a naturally-occurring molecule in our bodies – that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.
What happens when you get Kybella?
Your Blu Cocoon nurse will inject Kybella under your chin and then the deoxycholic acid gets to work! Over several weeks the dissolved fat becomes cellular debris that gets cleared into the lymphatic and circulatory systems and eventually is excreted as waste. Some clients see visual results after one treatment but most experience visible results with 2 to 4 treatments that are usually spaced one month apart. Your nurse will be able to determine the number of treatments you will need.
Is there downtime or side effects?
Some common side effects include swelling, redness, bruising, numbness in the area, and pain. For most clients, even if side effects occur, there is no downtime.
How long do the results last?
Kybella causes destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. The results are permanent!
